I can understand that, but I can also get why after living here for some time people would also point out that its a lot of hassle to get here now, and that the difference between #1 on the list and...

Maybe we didnt all jack in well paying jobs and a promising career trajectory? I came to Canada for the increased salary. Its not what keeps me here, but I can fully understand why some people...

So is the vast majority of Ontario, but its either hard to get to, or some logging company has the rights and you cant go there. Its not like the UK.

Quite right, it takes some serious balls to want to do that. I suppose if it didnt work out quickly a sharpish return to the UK with limited career damage is always an option for the OP?

Depends on how you define Mountain. There isnt much like the rockies there and the skiing is poor. Also traffic is still a nightmare. But then if you end up in Vancouver thats still true isnt it?...

I think it depends where you end up. Big City life is maybe much the same only with different weather. Outside the cities in small town Canada I think things can be sufficiently different to be...
