He could be just around the corner from me. Its pretty much like that here. I lock my car when in the city lots, and canadian politics amuses me, but thats about it.

Many newcommers do do that without any costly government funding, but its nice to feel welcome, and is one of canadas selling points in the international skills market. That and the fact its like...

Cheaper out there mostly. We pay about $5 for lean ground beef, compared to <4 there, and thats before taxes. Chicken was less than what we pay too as far as I can tell, and of course, beer/liquor...

You have to be carefull where you buy then. Some townships have some very strange (and restrictive) zoning laws. Some wont even let you keep more than a couple of dogs, and others have licensing...
