If I was to recommend a restaurant in Redmond, it would be Kanishka. Has both British-style Indian food as well as the proper stuff from across south Asia. Very good.

I'd discourage it based purely on the fact that it is 90-120 minute drive to the ferry dock alone. Gorgeous place, but not really commutable unless you only need to go into the office once a week.

Bellevue is pretty nice, had huge development in the last ten years alone so there are tons of skyscrapers now. It's expensive, but walkable to restaurants and bars.
