Having done it myself I'm baffled as to why people with dosh choose Oz... Isn't it a bit like winning the lottery and moving to Hull? With hindsight I'd be half way to PR in the Caribbean...

Quite surprised the UK's gone for more QE. I wonder if Bernanke will follow. Hopefully we'll see some house price rises and a positive few days on the FTSE.

I think that's factored in already - not sure when to pounce but there are some good value stocks around now. Euro collapse - stronger what? Greenback, AUD, sterling, gold?

I can't really see another round of QE - No one's convinced printing more cash will do much. 'fraid it's a decade of anaemic growth. I'd be surprised if the GBP /AUD goes much higher than 1.7. I...

Because risk appetite up - stocks will go up tonight and gold down. Business as usual next confidence wobble - AUD losing to greenback and stocks fall with gold up.

I also find the weakness of the Great British quid a constant niggling source of depression. In fact I actually cited it at the acupuncturist when he asked me why I wanted treatment for my blocked...
