Oh dear Foxtel .......that said, maybe they aren't as dumb as we think. That $1 price rise would make $32,400,000 should their attrition rate stay stable.. They are stuck in the old model, no doubt...

Wow defensive.

FWIW I have Foxtel, the bare minimum so Mrs B can watch the BBC stuff, UKTV, etc. $11 per month was the last bill she tells me. I thought it was $25. Perhaps they are coming in line...

Lets put it this way. Forget Netflix. Lets use the scenario of the BBC and Top Gear. BBC sell Top Gear to channel...

I've got a feeling they will just keep blocking whatever methods you find. The risk of being sued because users are watching TV that other networks own is just too great.

I'm not so sure. Even though Australian Netflix users will be reduced to 34% of the available US content, its price point is so cheap that users are unlikely to unsubscribe to save $10 or so. However...

Also, its because the studio's have sold the rights to another supplier in a particular region.

For example Sherlock is on Netflix US but Stan bought the rights to it in Oz.
