Re: New DEFRA Regs from January 2012

M vet is presently continuing with the paperwork we started last summer because my trip home was delayed until next month. He told me today USDA requirements are changing all the time. He has a call...

Re: New DEFRA Regs from January 2012

That's a great idea!! I think I will do that, too, because this has been my major concern - getting to the other side and finding out something is not in order.

Re: New DEFRA Regs from January 2012

I would seriously complain to the airlines about the no water part. Even humans would have a difficult time flying Vancouver to Amsterdam direct with no liquids whatsoever.

Re: New DEFRA Regs from January 2012

Poor doggie!! I am glad he is doing better now. Was it the flight that stressed him? He must have been so glad to see you when you went to pick him up and perhaps a little worried about what was to...

Re: New DEFRA Regs from January 2012

That's a good idea. My business partner flies to the USA 2-3 times a year from his own country on the Mediterranean, so I don't think it would be too difficult to persuade him to do this with me....

Re: New DEFRA Regs from January 2012

Yes, it is good to know. This particular cat doesn't liked being handled by strangers so I hope they wear gloves - just in case. She freaked out at the vets once and he had to wear gloves to get her...

Re: New DEFRA Regs from January 2012

If I had to take the cats out of their carriers at security, one would run away - no doubt about it. She is very shy and timid. So long as she is with my other cat whom she loves, she is fine - but...

Re: New DEFRA Regs from January 2012

I think it might break MY brain ;) Can you imagine me trying to get on a train with four pet carriers and luggage? I would have to use my teeth to carry some of them ;) Of course, perhaps I could...

Re: New DEFRA Regs from January 2012

How would you get from Paris to Calais, though (if you were to fly into Paris, that is)?

Re: New DEFRA Regs from January 2012

This means that when I return I can save literally THOUSANDS with four pets!!!!

I was budgeting $1600 per pet and if I go this way, I can get all four over there for $1600 - or less. My dogs weigh...
