Yes, but I think I saw somewhere that the US imposes an AoC on its citizens travelling overseas of 18, irrespective of whether the local, or the US citizen's state's AoC is lower.

And I think the US imposes an AoC of 18 for its citizens overseas. OP needs to be very careful - he could potentially be in a lot of trouble.
