Isn't it all a frigging mess. I have a grandson in Liceo Scientifico. Wednesdays no classes because not enough teachers. Chemistry lab no equipment, so in 2 years he has only actually ever had 2...

Hello Lorna, advice from a grandad for what it's worth. If the lad is not academically inclined, you will only end up with a disgruntled and rebellious teenager if you put him in a 5 year scuola...

Am I right in thinking that whatever Liceo the kids choose, the 'biennio' is still the same curriculum for them all? Grandson no. 4 is gojng through 'open day' choices too at the moment.

And that is my grandaughter too- At liceo linguistico she's done all her written and quizzone exams with almost top marks. Has to pass her orals next week, and then she says she's off away to UK....

:DMy business here often involved trying to get contracts/decisions made up to 2 years in advance. That's how I acquired a stroke!

I tend to think that the only private schools you will find near you will be infants (pre-school) ones. Private or State will be pretty much the same in this category. The food may be slightly more...

:DExcellent site for learning to get your head around Neapolitan dialect. Oh yes, they do lots of other things in Monte di Procida apart from 'apressa 'a Marron'.

On the site for Monte di Procida, there are 3 infants schools, from Monday to Friday 08:15 to 16:15;...
