Ours took 13 months -acknowledged May 2010 - Visa granted June 2011.

Still waiting to go but hopefully getting nearer - exchange contracts on house next Thursday! Been messed about by people...

Passports finally came back from Australia House. Took just over a week and we sent recorded delivery envelope for their return.

No idea why we got it so early - perhaps they anticipated all the Bank holidays and felt sorry for us! (certainly not loaded - I wish) I've noticed people with agents sometimes are a couple of weeks...
