I've just (3 hours) picked up my shiny, shiny residency visa and COPR. I fly out tomorrow lunchtime, and start work on Monday! Argh!

My e-cas said exactly the same thing (and still does I think), and my passport is currently at the Canadian High Commission. I know it doesn't stop the worry, but I'm sure it's positive news!

Unless you can think of a compelling reason why they would refuse you (such as your entire application form is a complete sham), it's unlikely that they'd refuse you without an interview. Therefore...

You have to land within a year of the medical, or before the expiry date of your passport, whichever is sooner.

In my case, my flight is booked for the day after I pick up my passport... 10 days...

Mine never mentioned Medical results until it had all been finalised. I think that bit depends on how pro-active the case officer is.

I'm in Red Deer, AB at the moment on a visitors visa, and have been since the beginning of May - my wife has been living and working here for three years or so. I managed to get a job in my field...

The passport request says you can take it in in person on a Thursday between 2pm and 3pm, and pick it at the same time two weeks later.

Good news is that eCAS has just changed to decision made for me.

Bad news is that I haven't had an e-mail, and so don't know what the decision is (although logic dictates that it's positive!).

It says on ecas that they only update on Tuesdays, but my updates so far have been one on a Monday and one on a Tuesday.
