The house was fine but not by much, the stream rose in a way it hasn't before and completely surrounded us by coming up over the road, real deep.

We think there must have been a blockage somewhere...

So, 4 days without power (and running water) and one midnight evacuation to higher ground later. It would appear to have been recently over-damp.

Spent early evening in the pool, conclusion: Need pool-proof beverage dispensers.

Graduated to el-Cheapo Aussie Day Dinky Di True Blue Boxers and little else.

It's great, I've just spent 2 hours building a dam wall in coolish conditions with a bit of drizzle. Lovely civilised weather.

Moving rocks and concrete down to the dam to shore up the wall, it's looking a bit ... moveable ... right now. :unsure:
