Strictly 'però' is a conjunction, as is 'ma'. Which is why in my example I used a comparison with the English conjunctions 'but' and 'however', specifically ignoring other uses of the English words....

No difference in practice. If you consider that in English you can replace the conjunction 'but' with 'however' without changing the meaning, you'll get the idea. HTH. Note that the o in 'però'...
