I was always under the impression that the sponsor had to be present when landing? I'm sure there is somewhere for them to sign on the forms when the Immigratation official is there?.... Best check...

I didn't receive anything back at all .. although all my docs were either photocopies or general print outs of photos (collated on A4 sheet) .. so not important to have them returned.

Just been to collect my passport this afternoon from Canadian High Commission in London. Even quicker process than when I dropped it off 2 weeks ago. Shiny visa now in my passport :thumbsup: ... so...

I wouldn't worry .. i've had my passport request and can't get anything on ECAS under my name ... they seemed quick in Canada to update it when we logged in with my wifes details (she's the sponsor)...

update on our timeline...

Posted Application to Mississauga = May 17th
Received = May 25th
Letter sent = June 24th
Sponsorship Approval letter received = June 29th

So now i'm waiting to hear...

I was wondering about the photos too. I was thinking of printing mine out, several to a page of standard A4 and not high quality (more like a colour photocopy) as I presume it's content rather than...
