I agree.

My Mum always use to say she was going to live to 108 like her grandmother did. Her Mum died at 86... sadly she died at 86 too. So I'm now wondering if I'm going to die at 86 as they...

I have very conflicting feelings. My brother turned 56 yesterday. I thought about how he was closer to 60 now than 50. It only seems like yesterday that we would crawl around on the floor together...

We're working on that type of idea... It takes a long time to change your way of thinking but he is slowly considering that self employment might be the right way to go!

There is a lot of truth in what you say. I try to avoid the cliches with hubby as I know it doesn't help...

The stupid thing is that 40 is the new 30. We're living longer and healthier lives. People are remaining in the work force longer. In some sectors there is a shortage of candidates.

He was terminated without cause. That old chestnut!!!
So people talk. So far he's had one interview with a handling agent but it came to nothing!!

I've suggested the retraining. I think he sees it as giving up. I've told him to give himself a deadline beyond which he makes some decisions for change. I suggested January 1st.
