Re: Over 40's Moving Back and Catching Up

Aries, I wonder what you did to upset the pilot so much! I don't think that you would get such personnel service with your car delivered to the main entrance these days.
Flights between each State...

Re: Over 40's Moving Back and Catching Up

The beer does still come in Midi or Schooner size glasses here in Oz. I remember when we used to order a jug of beer if there were a few of us drinking. It is now expensive & most of us buy alcohol...

Re: Over 40's Moving Back and Catching Up

Here in Australia a crown costs about $1,300 Oz dollars. I get $850 back from my private insurance & have to pay the remainder myself. I can claim one crown a year.
There are three levels of...

Re: Over 40's Moving Back and Catching Up

Did you manage to sort out the smell...

Re: Over 40's Moving Back and Catching Up

That is correct Derrygal there has never been electrical sockets in bathrooms in the UK. It has nothing to do with the EU.

Re: Over 40's Moving Back and Catching Up

Aries, the retirement village that your Sister lives in looks very nice. It looks as if they are all separate units. I think it is a great way to go especially if you are on your own.
I have heard...

Re: Over 40's Moving Back and Catching Up

I remember Gawler when we arrived in 1973 & it was a nice country town but now it has become very busy. It would get very hot there due to being far from the coast.

Re: Over 40's Moving Back and Catching Up
