I just checked XE.com and the GBP is presently worth 1.58 Australian Dollars, I think it's time for me to start planning my next trip to the UK :)

They certainly are. And I see that the exchange rate has now dropped to 1.63.

I guess there must be a shortage of plastic :)

I have to say that moving the amounts over in $9,999 increments to 'fool' the taxman was a cunning ploy and might have some merit :rolleyes:

I've just checked the exchange rate and the GBP has now broken the 1.70 barrier and is trading at 1.68. Thought I was joking when I said 1.50 was possible, now I'm not too sure.
