Westpac just cut their fixed mortgage rates. Aussie is sinking lower. :thumbsup:

(of course while I celebrate this the other half of my money in investments is getting the crap kicked out of it....

The spike from 2.1 to 2.6 is exactly what I'm thinking of and back then it was banks that were under threat not countries. I think as long as central banks just keep trying to QE or borrow their way...

Economist on 5live said that as the uk is one of the few countries to get it's house in order, sterling is indeed being seen as a "safe haven currency".

Gone from 1.48 to 1.55 in just the last few days. Anyone got there fingers on the transfer trigger? 1.55 is still pretty crap though. UK also seems to stand out as one of the countries that's...

According to the BBC's chart it's been about 1.51 before now.
