I have to say, I'd rather go on expensive holidays and generally enjoy my life rahter than skimp and save and throw every available cent at a home loan. There's no point in having a massive house...

I've just done a quick check, and 1/3 or $2600 would roughly give you a $130K home loan. The cheapest house/unit/townhouse currently being advertised that isn't a...

You would think, wouldn't you.

I know many people who claim this area is Brisbane. I guess something to do with not wanting to admit to living in Logan (much like the people who live in Ipswich).

you must be lucky then. even for a two bedroom house i'm looking at around $2200 per month on a home loan.

Note that this will probably be a long way from central Brisbane, into areas I probably wouldn't call Brisbane any more (more like Greater Brisbane).

And judging by what I saw over Underwood...
