The only person who I know says there is a tax is a well know T@x Ag*+t who for a fee will help you avoid it. :ohmy:

Compared HiFix. Moneycorp and UKForex and then went with the highest quote (in that order) of $1.7869 on $11,000

Not sure that the average has been $1.80, I make it 14 weeks of $1.80 or above and 38 weeks of below $1.80.

I stopped doing weekly transfers when the rate dropped below $1.70 in March this year....

I guess you are meaning the middle price, I got $1.78 on 05/02/10 and that was the best rate for me, this year, so far.:fingerscrossed:

The last time I got $1.82 was 26/09/09.

Another company offered $1.74 to £ with a £15 fee until I mentioned PIO and they dropped fee. May of offered higher for...

That sounds about what Moneycorp said to me, if I wanted to send £5,000 out at a rate of $1.75 then it would have to hit above $1.78 to trigger the deal on that amount. I guess if it was £50,000 it...
