yes.. the east coast is a way off... but people over here tell me they do more trips to places like Bali than Brisbane:thumbup:

i dont know about the isolation..
Its a city of 1.5 million

i lived in CHCH.. the whole south Island wouldnt have that amount of people.
Maybe after i have been here a while.. it will feel like...

we did 10 years in NZ before we made the move (Perth).
I do miss a bit of the greenery... and i was rural based in NZ so it was a bit of a shock getting back into "the burbs"..

but on the whole.....
