looks like i managed to get there but its going to cost 75K in points not 60K as etihad charge for a separate leg - so i get a 35K portion and a 40K one..

Never mind... homeward bound is the most...

booked... they a routing me with Malaysian all the way to LHR in biz... yes.. i hear that its not the best Biz class out there.. but hey.. tickets booked..

I did that yesterday and got through to a pleasant person.. who tried to route me via HK.. but no biz flights from HK to LHR ..

yeah... i have some miles.. but not all

guess the plan might all fall down if there isnt another offer

would begrudge paying the same to go cattle class and i sure as hell can t afford full...

with that in mind.. is it better to just get the infant her own seat via points? or is trying to get 5 seats way to much of an ask?

Is there a paid tool which might show if there are 4 or 5 seats...

you can buy 120K miles and then book a ticket for someone elses name?

i thought you had to be an air miles member to get air points? why would you gift miles if you can just buy the...

whilst i dont doubt your comments re getting 5 seats.. just like to say that i did get to the US via sydney with United.. so its not just Air NZ.. alhough i flew back with Air NZ

just a comment on buying the miles

i bought 50K.. got the 50K credited.. about 5 mins later i got an email saying i had bought them..
went back.. bought another 20K.. again 5 mins later the email...

Just to say..that the process was very straight forward.

Bought 50K got 50K bonus.. then bought an additional 20K

Checked for availability through the ANA website

because i didnt have much...
