We got a secured card through Bank of America and an Amex card which we transferred from UK Amex. We still need a third line of credit though so may have to take out a 'CD' and loan the money back...

It was Wells Fargo. They said that we had insufficient credit history and weren't customers of any of their affiliated banks.
