Re: E-3 Visa for Australians Thread- It's all in here

Does anyone know the cost of using a lawyer to move from E3 to Green Card?

Per a recent post, I got married and now want to begin the process. I know it's not a difficult process but my very...

Re: E-3 Visa for Australians Thread- It's all in here

Ah. Okay. Will check all the paperwork once I get home tonight. Hopefully it's in there.

Thanks for the quick response. I forgot about the I94 card on the extension paper.

Thanks!

Re: E-3 Visa for Australians Thread- It's all in here

Re: E-3 Visa for Australians Thread- It's all in here

I think you'll be fine getting your visa approved in Vancouver. I can't speak from experience to Vancouver but I had my E3 renewed once in Halifax and once in Montreal. With the one in Halifax i...

Re: E-3 Visa for Australians Thread- It's all in here

Okay thanks Ian.

So, if i don't want any break in employment, it still sounds like I need to get all this done at least 3-4 months before my E3 expires.

Thanks for the feedback, much...

Re: E-3 Visa for Australians Thread- It's all in here

Hi everyone,

As you know from previous posts, I've been here 12 years, and on an E3 since 2006 (4 successful renewals - 2 due to change of location within the company). 6 years on a H1B before...

Re: E-3 Visa for Australians Thread- It's all in here

Hi everyone -- Just an update to give people a sense of recent renewal times.

I had my E3 renewed again this year. Altogether it took about 3 and a half weeks to receive the approval back from...

Re: E-3 Visa for Australians Thread- It's all in here

Nani -- I did *begin* the process of applying for a green card in 2005. But my company was bought by a larger company one year later and so when the second stage of the process came up, it was a...

Re: E-3 Visa for Australians Thread- It's all in here

Hi everyone,

Thought i'd stop back and update everyone on my recent E3 renewal.

Receipt of my application to the USCIS was March 28, 2011 and it was approved April 19, 2011.

So a little...

Re: E-3 Visa for Australians Thread- It's all in here

So I think what LightHouse was saying is that you wouldn't have to leave the country to get your Visa put in your passport, if you successfully file your LCA and Petition and receive your Approval...

Re: E-3 Visa for Australians Thread- It's all in here

How do you figure? As noted in my above post, you have to begin the renewal process 4-6 months before your visa expires if you do it internally. If you seek approval externally (Canada), you still...

Re: E-3 Visa for Australians Thread- It's all in here

Hi everyone,

I have had the E-3 since 2006, and am currently in the midst of renewing again. I chose the Service Center option as I don't want to fly to Canada to have someone make a decision on...
