This exactly describes the school my son goes to.

i.e. a parents cooperative where the learning process is directed by the child

There are no teachers at my son´s school, only guides...

Spain is a very sociable country

The education system is not very good (it is rubbish in the UK too), but Spanish society lets kids be kids. It is quite healthy in that respect

And just to note that even at Spanish state school, 3-6 year olds spend about half the time playing and half the time "working" so it isnt so bad

Sometimes I am tempted to homeschool, but no man...

There are plenty of parent funded montesorri or "free" schools in Spain

My (just turned) 4 year old son goes to one in Asturias
