There have been plenty of projects that have been cancelled after they have been started. Until a project reaches a point where it is cheaper to finish it, anything can happen.

2 track ,electrified, commuter rail lines cost at least $15000/m - plus trains so not cheap. Instead of spending billions on his stimul-ass, KRudd should have spent the money on some railways instead.

I agree to a certain extent but I bought my 1st flat in Croydon - not exactly the Peppermint Grove of South London.

It's, in the main, not a very nice place. It has some nice areas though - but I imagine you would pay much more than $270k. It does have good transport links, all the shops you need and is close to...
