For some people maybe, but not all. I get paid overtime, I would not work it if I didn't. There is a massive labour shortage in this state and any company that tried...

Re: BBC - Wanted Down Under

It's a light entertainment programme, so don't take it too seriously. The target audience is British and probably not potential migrants, so they need to have prices in GBP.

Re: BBC - Wanted Down Under

Long overdue partial reform of the nanny state laws that govern working conditions and entitlements. It's similar to the necessary refoms the UK went through in the early 80's.

Re: BBC - Wanted Down Under

Thanks for that. The Panasonic model we bought a few weeks ago is superb. It's very easy to use and we have always got good results. At the moment you can only buy it from The Good Guys and cost $220.

Re: BBC - Wanted Down Under

We do. takes an hour longer than white. Not sure of the calories etc, I'm sure it's similar to supermarket bread. We often use half water, half milk instead of just water, definitely improves the...

Re: BBC - Wanted Down Under

I liked them. They aspire to a high standard of living and all the toys that go with it. Sounds good to me. I also didn't like the house (Pyramid I think they called it) they looked at in Darlington....

Re: BBC - Wanted Down Under

Most of the houses I've seen on this programme would be obtainable by a lot of Australians. Most poms with some equity and a modest mortgage can get a really nice house. I think the show is realistic...

Re: BBC - Wanted Down Under

Had a chuckle about that too. They were a nice family though. Considering what they were leaving in Luton then a falt in downtown Kabul would be a step up. I used to live round the corner from...

Re: BBC - Wanted Down Under

Just watched 2 episodes from last week, the Bootons from Shropshire & the couple from Lancashire moving to Sydney. We found both annoying and all I can recommend for all of them is a 4x2 upside the...

Re: BBC - Wanted Down Under

I've just noticed that UKNova is listing 3 episodes (1 torrent) for 17-19th January for download. I'll give them a go to see what all the fuss is about.
