Thank you everyone for your help. We have started getting companies round for quotes on a 20ft container (and yes, we seem to be fine with our quantity of stuff - room to spare). So far PSS has come...

Thanks for the recommendation. Can I ask how the shipping insurance worked out? Many people are suggesting that if you self pack, the shipping company won't insure it.

Thanks guys. We are show homing our house for sale at the moment, so haven't had anyone round for quotes yet. We figured it would be easier to get an accurate quote once we pulled out our belongings...

I would prefer them to pack it! :D But we are considering saving pennies where we can as the exchange rate is bad at the mo. Hope it picks up in our favour soon...

Did you pack it yourself, or did the shipping company do it? I know there is quite a difference in price if you do it yourself, but not sure if that is a wise...
