In terms of production, there's a lot going on in Canada, but cultural influence on ideas and subject matter, the UK would be ahead, but this is always an area that Britain likes to big itself up...

I'd definetly agree on this, but I do think it's becoming less important as there's a global homogeny occurring, thanks to cultural imperialism coupled with the internet.

Yeah not great and not the only borough with problems. Sure London is not all like that but anywhere close to the centre is more expensive, anything further out costs to travel (time and money)....
