I am not too sure about that. I got my police clearances, skills assessment (don't think it is needed for a 457), medicals, IELTS etc, lodged a 485, then withdrew the 485 and lodged the 457...

I was in Australia when i got my medicals done. I did it in January and got the reports back within a week. I had all the documents beforehand and only then put in my application.
