Re coming over for a month...that sounds good. I think you get 3 months stamp visa on arrival. I'm a bit fuzzy on that as I have the MM2H visa. Maybe someone else can confirm on here.

Re dogs....yes you can. You will be slightly restricted in where you live as most condos have restrictions, not always enforced. Though you may want to look at houses too. Once you've had a look...
