You probably get that impression on the news but I have family down there and they're fine. There is frustration at the slow rate of change, but otherwise they are generally pretty happy.

When I read that I checked to see if it was April 1! Astonishing. I'm glad my money is invested in rental earning property over there.

Yes I am. I worked out the exchange rate vs the savings rate and the difference was in the thousands in favour of leaving it in the UK. I use it to make internet purchases though, and I'm back...
