What is going on in the UK these days? IS there any plan by BoE to raise interest rate? Or re-open the coal mine shut down by Maggie? That would help the pound or even stage a reversal of fortune.

The 1.93 rate is interbank rate. People who transfer money over get less than that. HiFX is giving a quote of 1.87 this afternoon.
