canada post is terribly slow compared to royal mail, I normally reckon on a couple of weeks from uk to canada, I usually reckon on one week to get from one side of winnipeg to the other.

a few weeks ago my daughter sent a letter from UK(village post office in shropshire!) to her pal in toronto. imagine our surprise when she emailed the next day to say it had arrived!!!!
