One the the things i'm looking forward to when we move to Vancouver is the fact that i can cook the shittiest tasting dinner known to man and our Canadian guests will still tell me how awesome it is,...

I dread to think where you lived. Most kids i know have respect and are very nice and doing well educationally. As for walking down the street, it's dark outside now and i've just survived the walk...

The cost of living in London i see no difference to Vancouver so at least it'll not be a shock. Certainly the outdoor and visual options (if you're into natural beauty) are greater than London but...

Brighton for a beach walk, Surrey for hikes and mountain biking, Bushy / Richmond / Kew / Hyde / St James Parks............

My french colleagues get waaay more. 40 days a year is the norm plus bank holidays.

That said, i'm lucky as so far this year i've had 6 weeks off to date, and 2 weeks at xmas. Not too shabby. ...
