I guess the big difference is that a person can continue functioning quite well after a cigarette / coffee / mars bar / cheese and crakers / verbal excrement exchange from a preacher etc etc. Not so...

I'm talking hard drugs (Meth, Crack, Heroin), not the softer ones like dope, LSD etc.

The control aspect is something i definitely agree with as is tax brought in. However, businesses (legal ones) manufacturing the drug would need to make a profit and the R&D, marketing, packaging,...

Your daughter/son/grandkids walk into the living room and lovingly say, "see ya later, i'm off to shoot some heroin". Would prefer that or "see ya later, i'm off for a beer"?
