E3 is a Killer in bad times, for me anyway for the following reasons:

You have 10 days to leave or file for COS to another category like the B visa

I found a job but employer wants me to join...

Yes, they need to inform but there is no way to know whether they informed or not. So this is added stress and anxiety. However, I believe if you filed for change of status before going out of status...

Can we work once Change of employer receipt notice is received?

This is very confusing. Some attorneys say you can work once the receipt notice for change of employer is received.

Others say you have to wait until you get the actual E3 petition approved?!

Cannot work even if I get a job right away!!

Looks like E3s and H1B cannot work for the new employer but H1B has a big advantage and that is premium processing. E3 does not have premium processing. Damn! How long is it taking E3s to get change...

I lost my job today on E3 visa and spouse is on E3D. Can someone plz reply whether USCIS will literally apply the 10 day rule to leave.

10 days is such short notice...
