Yes it did take some time. We saw people apply after us and land well before us but I do believe it was purely timing/luck issues.

We have been 'received by visa office' since June 2011.

We submitted to CIO June 2011, they sent it to Buffalo August 2011 and then it was sent to Ottawa July 2012. I believe the only thing that has happened since is the Canadian police checks.

We sent our application FSW2 in June 2011 and have heard nothing except on our CAIPS it was transferred to Ottowa in July 2012
