Correct, there should be an email arriving with details of how and what you need to do. I recall it took at least a couple of days to arrive after seeing the status change in the portal.

A bit of an odd question, but is your drivers licence or health card still valid, ie; not expired? I only ask as I know someone who had taken their test in late december, all items bar the test item...

If you would be a dual-citizen at that point, then no, I don't think you can do that, as you must enter Canada using your canadian passport, which you'd not have at that point. I can understand it's...

Any ideas how long from when everything except the Oath Ceremony item has changed to "completed" until the Oath one changes it's state, and / or an email is sent about when to take the oath.

For her application, background check wasn't the first thing to be marked as completed. She actually took and passed her citizenship test, and that changed over to completed in late December 2021....

That is not the case. Within the last few years Canada requires that Canadian Citizens with Dual Nationality must enter canada with a Canadian passport. More info here:...

I just asked L about this, and she said that after seeing the notification in the portal, it was around 3 - 4 days before the email showed up with the actual information about how to take the test.

For those who have had the online citizenship test, how much time passed between taking the test and being notified of pass / fail, and if a pass, the date to take the oath?

I'd presume the oath is done virtually? If so, very curious to know how they monitor it, as when I took my oath in person, there were various people walking around checking you were actually reciting...
