Don't forget, the K-1 visa is valid for 6 months from the date of your medical exam....so if you need more time to plan a nicer wedding, you don't have to enter the USA immediately, you have about 5...

At what point in that timeline is your fiancee going to file the I-129F? If she files it in Jan 2013, you might not have time for that 2nd VWP trip, you'll be entering the USA using your K-1 visa...

No, you cannot work in the USA while on the VWP. Not even for free. Unless it's actually a real volunteer job, such as working at the food bank or homeless shelter type of thing.

You don't have to wait for the AOS to be adjudicated. After you file AOS, you should receive your employment authorization document (EAD) within 60 to 90 days. Until then, you won't be work...
