Because that's about how long it takes your immigration information to get into the SAVE system database which SSA uses to verify your status in the USA, before they will issue a SSN.

To get another VWP, yes. But you will not have just been in the USA on the VWP, you will have just finished an E-3 visa stay. Your VWP entry will not be "another VWP visit", it will be a brand-new...

What you say is true. It is difficult to find employment in the USA when you are outside the USA and the company needs to sponsor a visa for you. That indeed is difficult.

It doesn't sound to me like you need to change your immigration status. You're currently on an E3. You'll be leaving the USA after that ends (so no need for a different status in the USA). You'll...
