The house is old and only has a 125A service and everytime you turn something on the lights dim! So we'll go up to a 200A service that should sort that out. We also don't have any room in the panel...

Re: Home and garden projects

Well the digging started last Thursday morning and the pool was in, leveled and plumbed by lunchtime Friday. Our city requires an inspection of the pipework and that happens tomorrow. Once that's...

In ground with Pentair pump, chlorinator and cartridge filter. Can't wait! Going to try and do a time lapse of it all.

Wow, that's deep! Ours will only be 6 foot. I think deeper is more usual for...

Re: Home and garden projects

I have just found this on a number of doors in the house we've just bought. Bottom rail is completely missing with the cavity open. Will need to remove the door and fit a new piece of timber as you...

Went to get one last week and was told (admittedly at Home Depot) that they don't stock them any more. It was a new fangled diamond sharpening block (works a treat mind you).

I always glue...

Re: Home and garden projects

Just bought a house here and the rear yard (about 1/4 acre) is a blank canvas of grass apart from two mature pecan trees - no idea where to start yet but it's going to be fun!

Re: Home and garden projects

I bought a unit called an Airtap that was designed as a retrofit for water tanks: -

Robot Check

But it looks like they're out of business now. It basically is an a\c unit.

Re: Home and garden projects

I'm all LED now and have been for a while. Retro fitted a heat pump to my water heater and am also looking at heat exchangers on the shower wastes.

Re: Home and garden projects

The...
