Re: Best Shipping company?

Re: Best Shipping company?

Was the container still sealed when it arrived at your house? If it wasnt then the agent who recieved the container, needs to tell you if they broke the seal or not. If the seal was broken when it...

Re: Best Shipping company - company and inspections?

Not sure I would think I had a positive experience, if the crew didn't know how to load the container properly, and their bad packing meant that an antique desk leg was broken.

Re: Best Shipping company?

Its nice to see some positive comments about the "professionals" - GB Liner and whites. Yes they do cost a bit more sometimes, but if you value your goods enough to ship them, then surely they need...

Re: Best Shipping company?

Did you get charged for a Customs inspection? if you didnt then it wasnt opened by them. If you did, it could have been them that made the mess. Did your goods arrive in the container at your home,...

Re: Best Shipping company?

Have a safe trip.

Re: GB Liners quote

Re: GB Liners quote

Customs do not know or care if a container is owner packed. They request the packing list, passport and any status paperwork that may be required, when they are selecting containers for document...

Re: Best Shipping company?

What you need to consider is the quality of the packing materials used when packing, after all if you deem it valuable enough to ship then you want it to ship safely. You need to ask them which agent...

Re: Best Shipping company?

Use the storage as a bargaining tool! seriously, nobody in the UK is that busy, and with warehouse space not full to capacity then you are in a good position to bargain.
