Re: Some questions about immigrating

Ben,

It is possible to transfer from a working holiday visa to a subclass 457 (employer sponsored) visa whilst in Australia. You would not need to depart Australia and this has been a relatively...

Re: Skills Assessment - evidence

Hi,

Just letting you know - quoting the exact wording of the ASCO definition of the occupation in your reference is a REALLY bad idea...

What details you need depend on which skills assessment...

Re: Business and Information Professionals

Hi Marioland,

Given that you have a relevant bachelor degree, I think you would be VERY unlucky to be requested for an ACS assessment to establish work experience.

Are you looking at a family...

Re: IEAUST say yes....but now I'm REALLY confused.

Hi George,

Don't get me wrong - Engineers Australia has always changed the occupation when we have asked. But last time we did this, they were grumbling about how often they were being asked to do...

Re: Business and Information Professionals

No worries. My brain doesn't kick in until at least the first cup of coffee...

Fair point about the level of skilled employment.

Another thing to watch out for is that if you are claiming work...

Wink Re: IEAUST say yes....but now I'm REALLY confused.

Probably over-cynical there! ASPC is one of the best posts in terms of quality of the staff. As far as I know, the processing officers have no vested interest in you investing the money...

Re: Business and Information Professionals

Re: IEAUST say yes....but now I'm REALLY confused.

Hi Techno Freak,

I'd recommend trying to get the occupational assessment changed if possible. In this way, you can give yourself the best possible chance of getting the full 10 points for work...

Re: Self-employed Accountant

Notary public would be fine - otherwise, should be OK with a Justice of the Peace, solicitor, pharamcist, doctor etc...essentially the same as those who can certify copies.

Good luck!

Re: George / JAJ /All - Please help - TRA failed

Orkay,

It might be worth your cousin asking for skills assessment as a cook rather than a chef. Both cooks and chefs are on the MODL these days, so he should get the same points score either way....
