Ya she does, she still gets paid in pounds so when they convert it, her take home is higher than the threshold.

She is a resident, but her husband is a USC, they moved here last year from the UK.

Ok so i got my head round that bit, but im still concerned about the fact that no taxes were filed while we lived in the uk.

Well the only way the debt would follow you is most likely if they sell on the debt to an agency based in the usa, but i guess they would then need to assess the cost effectiveness of doing so.
