Well 2 years have almost come and gone and its time to remove conditions on my GC.

I could have applied at the end of Feb but it took me a few weeks to get the pack together and I finally mailed...

My route was very similar. I came to the US (NYC)on a blanket L1 in 06. Married in Oct 08 in Vegas. Filed for GC at the End OF Dec and Greencard approved around 6 months later....theres a timeline...

I'd go with the Truth option too- honesty is always the best policy as they say!

My interview was around the end of April in NYC- We went armed with pictures, phone bills, etc. The usual stuff...

Thanks for chiming in.....when I said it wasnt good enough- i meant they also required the original birth certificate as proof of citizenship.

Passport was fine but they also wanted the original bc.

We went back this afternoon and gave her what she asked for- she didnt remember us so we couldnt have made that much of an impression.

Some good news......my application for travel was approved and I received the corresponding paperwork in the mail (I forget the exact name of it). It was dated Feb 24th and I received it on March 2nd...

I actually went through the same thing- you still have to take both written and practical driving tests in NY so there is no benefit of him turning it in.
