good one. Well you were lucky then, I have 2 friends, us citizens that are very qualified, one in Tampa, one in Kissimmee, they have worked as teachers for years, doesn't make more than 22K a year...

like 0.01% chance, unemployment in tampa area is above 10% and believe me, there are loads of QUALIFIED US CITIZENS for a job like that anywhere in Florida.

correct, but we all assume that the visa is obtained not violating the rules, of that is the case and the visa holder can prove this, they will not get rejected.

and with the ESTA this is no longer possible, so a VISA is required and when the person applies for it some "problems" might arise. Bending the system is very stupid (long term). Stick to the rules...

correct, I am just referring to my personal experience (in florida). I know that other point of entry's are more strick on visitors, so your point of entry might decide the outcome

might be other reasons you dont know about, but yes, its up to the immigration to determine on each visit what the result will be. Visas will definately make it easier.

exactly, the person that turns up with enough money in the bank, ties to a foreign country (primary residence) that wants to spend more time in the US than in the UK will not get any problems...

correct, 90 days in/out is not true. I know people in FL that have been in and out for years, staying 80-89 days, going to the UK for a week or two, coming back etc etc. The US DO NOT CARE how long...

Florida... I moved here from Texas, unless you want to live in Austin then I wouldnt recommend Texas. Texas have a (i believe it .5%) tax on turnover nomatter if you make money or not.

VAT is not _your_ money, you are just collecting the money and passing it on.

If you think you can save tax by moving to CA then forget it, there is loads of taxes in...

i certainly did.... katy was very congested with traffic on the I10 in the morning, but they were widening the I10 and building a lot of new infrastructure there, is it any better?
