If it's any help this is our timeline - it is recent.

We submitted our passports with our ITA on 8th July, got our AIP letter on 16th July, got our passports back with stamps in on 16th August.

When we visited NZ it was in October and we simply booked our flights and the first night in a motel and then planned a route and took each day as it came.

We didn't find any problems with places...

My degree was on the list of recognised qualifications and we claimed points on our EOI for it even though I was not the principle applicant and like you my degree is not linked to my work experience...
