Re: Anyone living in or near King Of Prussia P.A

I'm from Leeds, then Glasgow, now in Newark, Delaware. Dela "where"? :) It's a few miles south of K of P. I've been here 20 years now. If you like walking, we are very active with the Wilmington...

Re: UK pension question

I left Scotland at age 40 having taught for 8 years. I couldn't believe I would just contact the SPPA in 20 years' time and my pension would be there ready and waiting, but that's the way it worked...

Re: Need Tax info for expat in usa

Sorry - I could almost swear to having seen something on the IR site which said they do not tax at all if you can prove you have a permanent home overseas. Needless to say, I can't find it now! ...

Re: Need Tax info for expat in usa

I believe you have to declare all income, from whatever source, to the IRS, but the UK will not tax the pension if your husband can prove he is no longer resident there. There is a form for this on...

Do I need to declare the lump sum from my British pension?

I reached retirement age in September 07 and started receiving my teacher's pension and my state pension. These would normally be taxed in the UK but I escape that since my monthly total is below...

The bread question

Skip the wrapped, sliced stuff and go for the crusty unsliced. San Francisco has some great sourdough bakeries. There is one on the front where you can watch them baking it. Their chowder in a...

Re: Tax on UK Police Pension Paid in US

Hi Andy - Perhaps you have all the answers you need by now, but others may be interested. You can apply for relief from UK tax if you can prove that you reside elsewhere. There is a form...
