I'm off to England today for a week, going back "home" after ten years. Haven't see my dad or most of my family since 1995. No doubt the week will be a blur, running around, meeting up with folks....

Re: Sticky situation - back taxes and AOS interview question

This was something I was concerned about too. However the fact that I had worked "under the table" for years and not paid taxes until we married was not mentioned at our interview. As far as I know...

Andrea,
I did wonder about that myself after the interview because I didn't do the print/signature card at my interview either at Federal Plaza. Six weeks later my green card arrived with the print...

Re: AOS Interview - What's needed?

In hindsight I'd say Susie is correct. Chances are you will have plenty of time to get your medical done between receiving the appointment letter and the interview.
I was basing my previous reply on...

Re: AOS Interview - What's needed?

Hi,
At our interview the officer (NYC) was only interested in our finances and that is basically all she looked at. We did take an updated I-864 (including my W2 and our joint tax return) but...

Re: What does one wear to an AOS Interview?

I wore a dress, husband wore khakis and regular dress shirt. We didn't get all "tarted -up", neither did anybody else from what I saw. Some women were wearing pants. Whatever you feel comfortable in...

Re: "Green" card arrives in mail

I can't say I had any hassle at all, because there are some folks out there who are still waiting years after filing to get to this point.
The actual card is cream coloured and photo is very washed...

I'll still be keeping an eye on things here. Hope that your case progresses as quickly, so that you can go "home" and see your mum & son. I am hoping to go to the UK next February...

"Green" card arrives in mail

bit of an anti-climax really at this point. But at least all my info is correct and it has my full last name on it. Husband said - "Is that it, I paid how much for that ?" ;) :). But, I did get the...

Re: (NYC) Wife received conditional Green Card with Maiden Name Only

The NOA's for EAD & I-485 will give the phone number to call to make biometrics appointment. As far as I know you don't get a separate notice for bios.
Hope things move fast for you too ;).

Re: (NYC) Wife received conditional Green Card with Maiden Name Only

When you get the NOA's for your I-30/I-485 etc etc, each NOA has a thirteen digit reference code on it (3 letters & 10 numbers) relating to each form. You can then check online from the USCIS website...

Re: Income for Beneficiary for I-864

This was just our experience.
I took the I-864A with us to the interview just in case eventhough we didn't add my income to the updated I-864 as my USC husband had enough in assets (savings etc)...

Re: Income for Beneficiary for I-864

As well as the updated I-864 showing your income, you will also have to submit the I-864A contract.
