Re: Language Courses Paris

Thanks for your reply.

Yep, well aware it will be more difficult than in London (where I have spent most of my working life) and could easily stay here and have a comfortable life with a lot of...

Language Courses Paris

Hello there,

I am moving back to Paris (without a job, recently made redundant in London 5 months after returning with same company) and will aim to start looking for a job at the beginning of...

Re: Cheapest method for transferring money from UK bank to French bank?

www.transferwise.com

Excellent, shows you what you save versus doing this with a bank and very quick to use.

Apartment in Paris

Hello,

I have very recently been made redundant, and am considering moving back to Paris, where I have lived previously. When I lived there before, I paid a little over the top to a holiday let as...

Hello All,

I would like to do a 1-2 week (possibly just 1) French language course in Provence this summer, in either (in order) Aix, Arles, Marseille or Avignon. I live in Paris, and the language...

Re: Staying in France after 6 months

I have found the below link.

http://travail-emploi.gouv.fr/IMG/pdf/dilti-ETTE-International-UK.pdf

What this says is once I have a secondment agreement, if my company gets the E101 (now called...

Re: Staying in France after 6 months

Hello,

Looks like there might be a possible positive outcome to this.

I offered to take a pay cut to the value of the additional taxes and go on a 6 month secondment (which can be re-done) -...

Re: Staying in France after 6 months

Just an update for those interested after taking the time to read: After a lot of research, it could be possible but is so complicated (no-one, not even tax depts in France and UK, understand the...

Re: Staying in France after 6 months

Your first 2 paragraphs I agree with, but your next few points are wrong. We have a French entity, and I am at this point in time very much working within the law.

Professional advice clearly...

Re: Staying in France after 6 months

It may be a one way move in my head, but it certainly wouldn't have to be set up like that (or agreed in that way by my company). If that is the case, that would greatly help my case, as once I can...

Re: Staying in France after 6 months

Thanks for your mail. Your last point is at the crux of the matter - I would of course file a tax return in France, and pay whatever is needed after taking into account the double taxation agreement...

Re: Staying in France after 6 months

Thanks for both of your replies.

No accounts/legal in France, only in UK (European HQ). I think boss would be fine with it, as we get on very well, he has just promoted me, and the distance...

Re: 6 months in Paris

They do, but they're not correct. The previous woman I dealt with would tell me which ones were free when I asked, and it was about 50/50 (even if it said on the site they are free). Same with Paris...

Re: 6 months in Paris

Belated thanks to you both.

Sharing not an option as I need something ready for when I arrive. Little point in wasting 2/3 weeks at the start in a b&B looking for somewhere to live, plus if it's a...
